Discussing with Seth Ladd from Google, I learned that the web component of angularjs and dart are part of a common strategy. There is no coincidence if the template language and data binding paradigms are similar.
We can expect an evolution towards a consolidation of web development practices at Google.
Dart is an interesting initiative, but, IMO, a dead end as the others vendors will never add another vm in their browser.
ReplyDeleteAdditionally not being a superset of javascript and with a different semantics, it will slow down its adoption (and the dart<->js interop is quite clunky).
Of course, the future of Dart is not something we vcan be confident of. The point was more to detect driving forces and one will be web components at Google.
